Tim McVicar is an Advanced Clinician Physiotherapist at The Auckland Regional Pain Service (TARPS), where he serves as the lead physiotherapist on the three-week pain management programme. He has experience working in both the public and private sectors in the UK and New Zealand. He is hard-working and passionate about supporting people to live well with chronic pain. His clinical and research interests include Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and using lived experience in service development. These interests shaped his Dean’s List award-winning MHSc thesis: “Living Well with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome: A Qualitative Exploration of Lived Experiences.”   Tim also serves as the social media representative for the New Zealand Pain Society. In this role, he manages the Pain Society's presence across platforms such as Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), updates the NZPS website, and oversees the webinars.
